Ronde v2: a fresh environment for every round
Every test round runs on an environment built just for it, with its exact reference logged in the round's record. The mockups are under review.
Ronde organizes a product's test rounds: the scope to check before going live, step-by-step execution, then a reasoned verdict. Version 2 changes one essential thing: every round runs on an environment created just for it.
The problem
Testing on a shared environment means testing on shifting ground. A piece of data changed by someone else, a version deployed between two scenarios, and the verdict no longer means much.
What v2 does
- When a round starts, a brand-new environment is created from the exact version you want to check.
- Its reference is logged in the round's record: you always know what the verdict was given on.
- Scenarios stay linked to the code and to the merge requests they cover.
The verdict keeps its three outcomes — go, go with reservations, no-go — but it now rests on evidence tied to an identified environment.
Where we're at
Ronde is in design. The v2 mockups are under review: now is the right time to tell us what's missing.
