Equipment variants: one item, several sizes
3×3 or 4×8 marquees, tables for 6 or 10: a single listing, with variants you can book separately.
A 3×3 marquee and a 4×8 marquee aren't the same item… but they shouldn't be two listings to keep up to date either. Communo now handles equipment variants.
One listing, several variants
A single listing describes the item: photos, description, instructions for use. Underneath it, the variants: 3×3 or 4×8 for marquees, 6 or 10 seats for tables. Each variant has its own stock.
Bookable separately
Each variant is booked on its own, with its own availability. Booking two tables for 10 doesn't stop another community from booking the tables for 6 on the same day.
What it changes for inventories
Fewer duplicates, simpler searches, and an inventory that finally looks like what's actually on the shelves in the storeroom. Existing listings stay as they are: you can add variants whenever you like, or never.
